• Diving and Snorkelling with the seals at the Farne Islands – play with the amazingly tame and friendly creatures !
• Cycle the Cheviot ridge – Starting from Cheviot, ride all the way back to the coast down to the same piece of rock at Bamburgh
• Walk the coastal path – from Craster, past Dunstanburgh, Embleton, Newton, Beadnell, Seahouses, Bamburgh and finishing at Budle Bay

This, the second Boards and Bikes Surf-O-Rama, is a day of free surf lessons, free equipment hire, tips, testing, board-swapping and general chatter and surf culture promotion !

As well as the surfing and chilling, we will have a sausage-sizzle BBQ, and then later in the evening, we’ll head-off to the local pub for a evening of Surf Films to get you inspired !

Easter saw the start of another year of surf lessons here on the Northumberland coast on the beaches around Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh.

We have had some amazing weather and conditions and it has been perfect for the beginners classes.

Lots of divers use the Beadnell area for shore and boat dives, and here at Boards and Bikes we’re planning a new set of activities to introduce snorkeling to people. The live webcam feed will let you keep an eye on the sea if your planning to drive up for a dip in the sea !

We hope the camera is useful, and that it stays working for a while. It may need some maintenance to keep it running all winter, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

In the meantime, go enjoy that sunshine and swell thats on the way…
