    Dear Rachel,

    Hello again !

When we got home I looked up ‘Sticks and Stones’ on the net. I’m glad that I did. I do like these pictures here. They’re really good and I think that they show “what you’re about” at Sticks & Stones.

We got back to Leeds after getting snarled up in some nasty Bank Holiday queues just north of N’castle.

Just a few lines here to say that I / we enjoyed meeting you, and would like to keep in touch.

A ‘hot tip’ for you: If you like photography as an art form, do look out for the work of Andre KERTESZ, BRASSAI and Eugene ATGET, all great masters of black & white photography. Brassai was a pioneer of night photography and was a personal friend of Picasso. Kertesz and Brassai both lived in Paris for a long time and Kertesz spent long periods of time in NY as well, in Greenwich Village and elsewhere. The fruits of these longs stays are marvellous, almost haunting. PHAIDON publishers does a series of appealing small booklets dedicated to the work of indiviual photographers (each for a little more than a fiver), including these three. That’s where I “discovered” Atget for myself. I already knew the other two.

Enjoy what remains of 2010 and do keep in touch. I hope you didn’t mind me “dropping in” on you the way I did the day after our session with you. May I / we know your e-mail address ?

I think that Rebecca and Clare are just returning with the week-end food shopping. I’d better let them in.

    Very best of wishes, Rachel
    Take care of yourself.

    Jonathan
